Just like in the real world, you have to pay taxes in CoinRepublik. The product sale tax is paid by the seller to the state budget in the money the sale was made in — national currency on the local market, gold on the global market. The salary tax is taken from every salary in the money it was paid in — gold or national currency — and goes to the state budget of your country. The production tax is charged when gold or raw materials are collected and is paid in kind to the state budget, so treasuries also accumulate gold and raw materials; energy products are never taxed this way. The daily dividend your game shares pay is gold income too, so it carries the production tax at the very same rate. On top of that, a flat 10% of every market sale, of all gold and raw-material output and of every share dividend goes to the player who referred the earner, and gold incomes from global (gold) market sales and gold salaries pay a further flat 10% to the game fund — mined gold and share dividends do not, because the fund is what pays both of them out in the first place. Premium citizens are exempt from every production cut except that referer share, which everyone pays. Below is a list of taxes and their values. If your town is occupied, an extra 10% of what you produce, sell and earn goes to the occupier. And if your whole country is occupied after losing a national war, an extra 10% of everything its citizens earn is levied to the occupying country until it is liberated.
