"Salary tax can be 10% but production tax should be lesser so traders can get a reasonable profit worth their effort, raw materials and time"
Production tax is a percentage taken from gold and raw materials at the moment they are collected from a building. It is paid in kind (the same gold or raw material that was produced) and goes to the state budget of the producer's country. Manufactured and energy products are not taxed.
Raising it fills the state budget with more gold and raw materials, but producers keep less of what they make, which can discourage production.
Lowering it lets producers keep more of their output and can encourage production, while the state budget collects less gold and raw materials.
This is a neutral explanation to help you decide — it doesn't favor either side.
Nigerians should support this because it's quite disheartening to spend time and raw materials only to get 50% profit. After collecting your products you have to pay 10% production tax to your refferer and 10% to the state budget leaving just 80 percent product. Then when you sell that same product you pay 10% global market fee, 10% market tax and 10% sale tax to your refferer. Now you have just 50% profit. Imagine working for one hour, spending time, energy and raw materials for the production of goods, only to get back 50% profit. I would say the taxes in this game are just too much but and it will be better if a player also have affiliates under him/her So he/she can also be receiving 10% production and sale tax as a refferer.
