I found CoinRepublik almost by accident while browsing the internet. I had never heard of it before, but it looked interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I enjoy playing games, although I usually play very different types of games. This kind of economic and strategic game is completely new to me, so I expected that I would not understand everything immediately. My first impression was that CoinRepublik offers many more possibilities than I could understand at first sight. It is not a game where you simply press a few buttons and wait for the result. You need to think about what you are doing, how you use your resources, what you should produce, and which opportunities might help you move forward. At least, this is how I currently see it as a beginner. Many things are probably obvious to experienced players, but I am still often trying to decide what my next step should be. This sometimes makes the game quite difficult for me, but at the same time, it is also part of what makes it interesting. A simple game may be easy to understand, but it can also become boring quickly. I do not think I need to worry about that with CoinRepublik, because there is still a great deal for me to discover. I often spend time thinking about what I could do differently, how I could develop faster, and how I could use my available resources more effectively. I do not always find the answer immediately, but I try to learn from every decision. For me, the complexity of the game is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It can be a disadvantage because it is easy for a new player to get lost among the different options. Sometimes I think for a long time even before making what appears to be a simple decision, because I do not know what effect it may have later. On the other hand, this complexity is also an advantage because it seems worthwhile to understand how the different systems work together. It is probably not only the time spent playing that matters, but also how well the player understands the game. At the moment, I certainly cannot say that I have found the best strategy. I am mostly experimenting, watching the results, and trying to understand which decisions help me make progress. It is quite possible that I am doing some things completely wrong, but I think that is a natural part of learning a new game. Everyone starts as a beginner, and even the experienced players who now know exactly what to do probably made plenty of mistakes at the beginning. I think CoinRepublik requires patience. It may not be possible to understand everything in just a few days, and perhaps that is not even the point. One part of the progress is building and developing the town and its economy. The other part is the player gradually learning to recognize the connections between different actions and their results. For me, this second part is currently the greater challenge. I also need to learn that I probably do not have to try everything at once. It might be better to concentrate on one area, observe how it works, and only move on when I understand it better. It is easy to want quick results and start using every available opportunity at the same time. However, doing that can make it even more difficult to see which decision actually produced a useful result and which one was unnecessary. Another interesting part of the game is that it encourages me to think even when I am not actively playing. I sometimes consider different possibilities and wonder what I could change the next time I log in. Should I continue with my current approach, or should I try something completely different? Is it better to save my resources, or should I use them to develop faster? I do not yet know the correct answers, but thinking about these questions is becoming part of the experience. For now, I am still only getting to know CoinRepublik. There are parts of the game that I already find interesting, and there are other parts that I still do not understand very well. Despite the difficulties, I do not want to give up too quickly. I am curious to see how much easier and more enjoyable the game will become after gaining more experience and whether I will eventually develop a strategy that really works for me. I hope that, with time, I will begin to understand the special atmosphere and logic of CoinRepublik. Perhaps one day I will look back at this early period and smile at how much time I spent thinking about things that will eventually seem completely natural. For now, however, I am still at the beginning of the journey. I am experimenting, learning, sometimes making mistakes, and slowly discovering what this unusual but interesting game has to offer. Hi buddy, I liked this article simply because I enjoyed your story. Building a profitable city is truly a challenge. I’ve mentioned this before in my own articles for beginners, as well as in my comments under other posts, just like I’m doing now: - You need to choose your profile. Simply ask yourself this question: What do I really want to achieve in CoinRepublik? 1) Become a successful farmer by building many factories and farms? Well, you're going to need a lot of energy points. You can sustain it, but you need to carefully calculate how much daily energy you will consume to maintain that city. 2) Become a market speculator for resources and citizens? This requires a lot of research and time. You won't consume in-game energy, but rather your own physical energy (it will be tiring to manually click through sections, since bots are not allowed). 3) Build many houses for a massive population? What about building an army and attacking other cities? That sounds like a good plan. BUT... you know the saying, "He who sows the wind reaps the storm." You will manage to occupy cities, but eventually, you will meet your match. Investing in soldiers is expensive, and at some point, it could result in a total loss. 4) Become a reseller and private country owner? Now, this sounds really interesting. However, it requires a minimum investment of 6 gold and some solid management skills to run a private country. What do you think of this feedback? No AI here—just pure personal experience. My dear friend, I am new here too and am experiencing the same confusion. I think this game is a reflection of real life. It has once again shown us just how inadequate our education systems are when it comes to preparing people for life. In this game, I find the issue of where to place new buildings particularly challenging. I wish we had the chance to know all the requirements beforehand when upgrading buildings. For instance, we only learn later that houses need to be within the influence range of buildings like markets or police stations. Constructing a building consumes time, resources, and energy—things that aren't easily acquired. Yet, we might have to spend them all over again just to demolish a building. I hope we don't have to. It is certainly very beneficial to read and learn from the "Learn" section and all these articles. These are valuable resources that newcomers should take advantage of—resources that are useful not just in CoinRepublic, but in real life as well. Thanks for sharing.
